Welcome to the Community Enhancement Department, formerly known as Planning & Community Development.

The mission of the Community Enhancement Department is to ensure that Moultrie’s growth is orderly and in conformance with our Comprehensive Plan, cost-effective planning principles and policies, and implementation and enforcement of those plans utilizing the highest standards of building, construction, property maintenance, licensing, and codes.

There is a reason for this name change.

Here in this department, we are much more than just planning and development. We are your point of contact for the EDGE group and Plan Review Group meetings. We help with planning for future developments as well as offer help with understanding ordinances, regulations, and codes. Our staff takes pride in offering guidance with new building codes and procedures and assisting with business licensing, inspections, and citizen complaints.
