Cole Posey became a member of Moultrie’s City Council in 2019. Mr. Posey currently serves as Vice President & Commercial Banker for Colony Bank. Prior to his current role, he was the Director of Economic Development for SRTC.
Mr. Posey currently serves on the Board of Directors of GeorgiaForward; a statewide not-for-profit economic development think tank, the Board of Directors for WorkSource Southwest Georgia’s Workforce Development board, and the Board of Directors for the Moultrie YMCA. He is a former board member of the Moultrie-Colquitt County Chamber of Commerce.
Cole is actively involved with the University of Georgia’s Colquitt County Archway Partnership. Additionally, he has participated in Leadership Thomasville-Thomas County and is a graduate of the Georgia Academy for Economic Development.
He and his wife, Julie a nurse practitioner at CRMC, have lived in Moultrie since 2014 and have two sons Liam and Wyatt. They also have a dog named Walker. Prior to joining SRTC, Posey served as the Executive Director of the Muscular Dystrophy Association in Macon.
Mr. Posey holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Georgia College and State University and a MBA from Amberton University. In his free time, Mr. Posey enjoys training and competing in triathlon, golf, and spending time on the coast. He is an avid Georgia Bulldog fan and has attended every UGA home game since the beginning of the 1997 season.
