Moultrie Fire Department Gains 10 New Employees

Since Fire Chief Chad Kilgore became Interim Chief less than a year ago, the Moultrie Fire Department has gained several new members. We would like to introduce you to our ten new hires and hope you will join us in saying WELCOME TO MOULTRIE!
Dalia Rico joined the Moultrie Fire Department in August of 2020. Before that, she worked as a volunteer with the Northside Fire Department here in Colquitt County. Dalia wanted to be a firefighter to help break the language barrier with the Hispanic community and to help others. Please join us in welcoming her to the department!
Please join us in welcoming Frank Walker to the Moultrie Fire Department. Firefighter Walker started working with us in August of 2020. He was born and raised here and wanted to be a firefighter to help people in need.
Carrie Grisson is one of our newest firefighters. She enjoys helping other people and always wanted to be a firefighter. Firefighter Grisson was hired in August and had been doing an amazing job for the MFD.
Corey Sanchez started his firefighter career at 15. He was a volunteer firefighter for the Funston Fire Department before coming to the Moultrie Fire Department. He joined our team in September of 2020. Please help us welcome him to the MFD.
Michael Reynolds joined the Moultrie Fire Department on February 8th. This is his first firefighting job, and we are glad to have him. When asked why he wanted to be a firefighter, he said he wants to serve a purpose. Please join us in welcoming Firefighter Reynolds to the MFD!
Ty Williams joined the Moultrie Fire Department in February. Ty, who was born and raised here, started his firefighter journey as a volunteer with the Doerun Fire Department. Williams wanted to become a firefighter to save lives and protect property. Please join us in welcoming him to the FD!
We would like to introduce you to one of Moultrie’s newest firefighters, Russ Carter. Russ was born and raised in South Georgia. He was working at the Cedar Valley Fire Department in Salt Lake City, Utah but decided to move back home to be closer to his family here in Moultrie. Russ’s first day on the job was March 22nd.
Daniel Morrison will be one of our newest firefighters, but he’s not new to the job. He has been with the Commerce Fire Department for the last few years and has been working in the industry for the last 17 years. Morrison and his wife decided to move here for a new adventure and to be closer to family. His first day will be May 17th. Please help us welcome him to the MFD.
Laron Whitlock will start his firefighting career in two weeks. He and his twin brother will both join the department on May 17th. Laron wanted to become a firefighter to help the community. Please join us in welcoming him to Moultrie!
